Position: Head of Technical Services
Reports To: Managing Director
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Full/Part Time: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to all members of the technical team.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients by continually improving on IT service delivery.
- Maintain and develop relationships with product manufacturers by ensuring that the technical team is well equipped to deliver solutions based on manufacturers’ products.
- Project Lead and Solution Architect in complex server deployments.
- Technical Presales Lead in complex server deployments.
- Responsible for the formulation and execution of policies that directly relate to the technical services team.
- Work towards continuously building the overall strength and performance of the technical services team.
Qualifications
and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or related field.
- Certified MCSE or MCITP.
- Certified HP AIS or APP (server related) is an added advantage.
- 3-5 years’ experience deploying Microsoft and HP server solutions in varied customer environments.
- 1-2 years’ experience managing teams that deliver Microsoft and HP server solutions in customer environments that vary in size i.e. from SMEs with a single server to large companies that have more than 500 active IT users and multiple servers in different geographical locations.
- Thorough understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange Server, MS ISA Server/MS TMG Server, MS Hyper-V, and MS SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of MS SC Data Protection Manager, MS SharePoint Server, MS Office Communications Server, Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec EndPoint Protection Citrix XenServer, VMWare or Linux is an added advantage.
- Experience in setting up and working with HP ProLiant Servers is a must.
