A new chain of restaurants will soon be opening its first branch in Westlands. We are looking to fill the follow position of general operation & regional operation manager who will be in charge of 9 outlets 5 in Nairobi and 4 outside Nairobi.

General Operation/Regional Operation Manager Job Purpose:
  • Delivering sales targets and profits by developing the individual unit sales, marketing and maintaining appealing restaurant service.
Responsibilities;
  • Establishes restaurant business sales and marketing plan by surveying restaurant demand; identifying restaurant customers; identifying and evaluating competitors; marketing and sales projections, analyses, and estimate
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant and benchmarking with other restaurant of the same status.
  • Maintains operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing service quality and customer-service standards; determining and implementing system and service improvement
  • Maintains customer satisfaction in all the units by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with customers.
  • Accomplishes restaurant human resource objectives by being involved in selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and counseling. Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Make sure the restaurants are clean, and good ambiance by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations.
  • Performs related work as required.
Education and Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university in restaurant management, restaurant service operation or food & beverage management
  • Over 4 years management experience in a high volume food service unit (s).
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant food service management procedures and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of Micros Fidelio System
  • Considerable knowledge of health and safety requirements applicable to an operation and service
  • Ability to control and manage food service operations.
  • Ability to prepare work schedules and targets for team members/supervisors/managers.
  • Ability to train team member in food service procedures.
