Our client is a motor vehicle dealer located in Nairobi Kenya. 

Due to increased workload, a vacancy for an accounts assistant has been created to deputize the accountant. 


The accounts assistant job requires an individual who is self motivated with a go getter attitude.
 
The required qualifications are as follows
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take up an assistant role for the overall accountant
  • Answering queries regarding work being performed
  • Prepare and analyze on regular basis, plans, budgetary estimates and provide explanations on variances.
  • Ensuring filling is done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconciling the bank accounts
  • Ensuring purchase order, receiving and invoices are matched
  • Submit VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Tax returns
  • General Administration duties
  • Financial records management,
  • Handling payroll
Academic
  • CPA part 2 and above ( or its Equivalent)
  • At least 2 years working experience in a busy finance department in a similar capacity
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge and hands – on use of Sage Pastel will be an added advantage
  • Degree from a recognized university will be an added advantage
