Responsibilities
- Deployment of guards & supervision of guards
- Instructing and coaching of the guards
- Coaching and capacity building
- Ensure guards maintain disciple and that disputes are settled.
- Ensure smooth and secure operation of gate services
- Ensuring control of movement of goods, and vehicles in and out the farm
- Carrying out Investigations and arrests and prosecution of culprits
- Ensure that security equipment is available, serviceable and ready for use.eg radio communication
- Diploma in Security & Disaster Management or Criminology
- must have a Certificate of good conduct
- Not less than 3 years of active relevant experience in a similar position
- Excellent understanding of security issues in general
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high work standards
- Ability to maintain independence and ethical standards in performance of assignments
Vacancy: Post Harvest Manager
Main Purpose of the Job
- You will have the overall responsibility to manage the Post Harvest Operations of the Company from the growing to the client.
- Ensure our clients receive consistent quality products in accordance with their needs.
- Ensure that the client orders are filled according to their specifications
- Put in place in coordination with production and Export department all measures necessary to keep the quality standards at required level.
- Quality assurance is one of the main purposes of the job.
- Manage the labour force involved in all the post harvest processes and train them to improve level of performance
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time
The ideal candidate should possess the following credentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture
- At least 4 years’ experience in packhouse management
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge on harvest IT will be an added advantage
- Excellent managerial, supervisory and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
