Our client a leading tours and travel firm in Kenya is looking to fill a position in their Safari / Holidays Department.

Education Qualifications
- C+ KCSE (minimum) or equivalent
- Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality (must)
- Two years in an IATA & KATO recognized origination (flexible)
- Independently engaged with individual clients in building Holiday Packages covering Kenya and Tanzania (Must)
- Engage with other Tour companies to better understand market trends, pricing issues, demand/supply equation (desirable)
- Have good rapport with Hoteliers and Lodges and use that to enhance day to day work experience
- Exposure to building overseas holiday packages (to Europe, UAE, India, Mauritius & South East Asia) – desirable but not a must
Preferred Skills Set
- Good level of understanding and usage of MS Office (especially word and excel using formulas)
- Reasonable exposure in formatting, network printing, working with shared files and basic PC related trouble shooting
- Good exposure in effective official communication (verbal and written) to clients (especially overseas) – should be familiar with International styles of phrases/terminologies/mail formats etc.
- Equal ability in working effectively alone as well as in a team.
- Sound knowledge of various Game Reserves in Kenya (their topography and uniqueness, facilities, park fees structure, distances between other parks and to Nairobi etc) – Must.
- Knowledge of similar reserves in Tanzania and Uganda – Desirable.
- Working knowledge of Transport operators and vehicles (Type – 4 x 4, Mini van, mini bus, associated costs, etc)
- Manually compute costing for packages as well as system driven computing.
- Ability to seamlessly multi task between operations and client engagement.
