Event Planning Intern Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Our client Events planning company seeks to recruit an Event Planning Intern to join their dedicated team
 
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in ensuring proactive planning, communication and scheduling of a wide variety of events including annual events, dinner programs, networking events, and special interest group meetings.
  • Assists in managing pre- and on-site registration (tracking via database, generating reports and producing attendee badges) for all events and programs.
  • Work with marketing & programs teams to plan and execute all marketing activities necessary to ensure successful events.
  • Assists in the program content development for dinner meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Secure equipment & rentals as needed, set-up, tear-down, and help coordination of overall event execution.
  • Website – assist with creating, editing and publishing content to the website, primarily for the events and marketing departments.
  • Help drive additional marketing programs to help meet quarterly marketing objectives; help analyze and access effectiveness of programs and suggest improvements
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in event planning, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Experience planning events
  • Experience creating marketing materials such as flyers and invitations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good organizational skills
  • Great communication skills and outgoing personality
