Our client a well established company in Kenya is looking for a Vehicle Mechanic Welder to fill a position in Mogadishu .

The successful candidate will weld metal components with welding equipment to fit & join, fabricate, repair heavy & large mechanical products, military vehicles and construction equipment per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule. 

The candidate MUST have international experience and must be willing to work in Somalia.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various welding duties using Gas, Arc, Mig and Tig welding techniques.

The candidate will have a U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) commercial/instrument or ATP license, 2,500 hours total flight time, bush flying experience, a U.S. FAA Airframes and Powerplant (A & P) license, and some history living overseas. 

We want a person who has felt God’s leading to use their gifts, skills, and abilities in aviation to reach hurting people in remote parts of the world with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Days often begin early and end late, uniforms get dirty loading aircraft, the landing zones and accommodations are rough, and the environment austere.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a current U. S. FAA aviation medical certificate and valid pilot’s license.

Qualifications:
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

b. Age: Between 18 and 26 years old for GSO Cadets and upto 29 years for Specialist Officers.
 
c. Be physically and medically fit in accordance with the KDF standards.

(13) Mechanical / Marine Engineers - Must have a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or BSc. in Production Engineering degree and be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
 
(14) Civil and Structural Engineers - Must have a BSc. in Civil and Structural Engineering degree and be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

(15) Education Officers - Must have a Bachelor of Education (Bed) degree.
 
(16) IT Specialists - Must have a BSc. in Computer Science or BSc. in Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Technology (BCT) degree.

(17) Chaplains / Imams
 
(a) Roman Catholic Chaplains - Must have a professional degree and be an ordained priest.
 
(b) Anglican Church Chaplains - Must have a professional degree and be an ordained priest.
 
(c) Muslim Imams - Must have a professional degree and be a qualified Imam.

(18) Journalists - Must have B A in Mass Communication / Corporate Communication.

Supervision: None
 
Purpose: To receive customer vehicles into the workshop in a timely manner and ensure customer satisfaction with the service delivery process.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Attend to customer promptly and courteously
  • Prepare service orders as per customer request
  • Advise customers on the progress of repairs on their vehicles
  • Inform customers on the repair charges
  • Add on sales to service department
  • Ensure vehicles are delivered to customers on time and in good condition
  • Quality control at the point of delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Receive vehicles bookings
  • Respond to customer calls and queries
  • Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Person Specifications
 
Academic Qualifications
  • Diploma in Motor vehicle Mechanics or related field
Professional Qualifications: n/a
 
Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role
 
Skills
  • Basic knowledge on vehicle mechanics
  • Good communication skills
