of Management invites applications for the positions of Graduate Assistant
As a Graduate Assistant, one occupies a position of dual status; a student as well as a professional.
The Graduate Assistant will be required to work 20 hours a week and attend all of his/her classes.
Requirements
i. Be a holder of a Business related degree and have a 1st Class Honors or a strong Upper 2nd Class degree from a reputable university. The degree should have been completed not more than 2 years ago.
ii. Have been admitted to the MCOM degree (Fulltime May 2012 intake) program at Strathmore University at the time of application. iii. Have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English.
iv. Have demonstrated ability to be flexible and work independently with minimum supervision, as well as cooperatively with others in a team environment.
v. Be highly self-motivated with good self-management skills and a keen eye for detail.
vi. Have strong computer skills.
vii. Demonstrate interest in either/or, Accounting (General Accounting. Forensic Accounting or Sustainability Accounting); Finance; Marketing; Management Science; Management (International Business Management Strategy or Human Resource).
Stipend and Allowance
Graduate Assistants will be fully sponsored to study MCOM at Strathmore University
A monthly stipend covering standard living expenses will be paid.
In addition, cost of research will be covered by the Universrty
Application Procedure
Graduate assistantship is a two year contract. However continuing in this position is subject to maintaining a minimum B Grade in each semester.
