Position: Sales Manager (Real Estate)

Reporting to:
General Manager

Location: Stoney Athi, Mombasa road

A real estate development incorporated in Kenya and which has carefully assembled team of local and international staff, consultants and advisors, all of whom have substantial construction experience and expertise in large scale developments in Africa.
 
Job Purpose: The SM will be responsible for input to the Marketing and Sales strategy which is reviewed from time to time and for the effective and successful implementation of same. 

The SM will also be responsible for meeting budgets and sales targets that will be defined within the strategic plan.
 
Specific Duties;
  • Contribute to the marketing and sales strategy
  • Manage the sales office and function
  • Ensure that the show house complex, sales office and sales staff present well at all times
  • Supervise sales staff in their duties
  • Liaise with potential buyers
  • Liaise with site technical and other management staff as required
  • Generate sales offer letters as required
  • Direct payments to the Finance Office
  • Chase routine and late payments due from buyers
  • Liaise with Company lawyers on sales matters
  • Participate in routine management meetings
Candidate Profile;
  • Male or female
  • Very presentable
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Likely age from 30 to 38
  • Good level of education – appropriate degree preferred
  • Consideration will be given to outstanding candidates without a university degree
  • Highly computer literate

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead in the development of technical designs
  • Supervision of implementation of contracts for boreholes, piped water systems, dams and water pans, irrigation systems, sanitation facilities and solid waste disposal systems
  • Design water treatment plants, pump systems and stations and pipelines for collecting waste water.
  • Creating water-based schemes such as flood defense structures
  • Designing sewer improvement programs
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • A Diploma /Degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent with strong bias to water and environmental engineering
  • Registered with the Engineers registration Board or Corporate Member of IEK or equivalent
  • At least three years hands on experience in design and implementation of water supply schemes and sanitation facilities, preferably in a busy institution involved in consultancies, capacity building and training
  • Computer literacy particularly in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Power point, and SPSS
