Zinduka Afrika a Non Governmental organization is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator  

Department: Monitoring & Evaluation 

Reports to: The Director 

Reporting: Immediately 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Support the organization in the Implementation of its M&E Framework. 
  • Support in Developing M&E plan, tools and implementation of the same. 
  • Support in the monitoring of programs indicators, for instance HIV/AIDs among others. 
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual Monitoring and Evaluation reports based on the agreed organizational and National indicators. 
  • Work with the beneficiaries and relevant partners to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data for a given project. 
  • Support in organizing surveys and other field activities in support of M&E work. 
  • Collect, analyze, and assist in the storage and dissemination of information to the relevant stakeholders. 
  • Support in the identification and recommendation for projects and shifts in priorities which may be considered necessary 
  • Support in building the capacity of the organizations staff on monitoring and evaluation 
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Management
Qualifications
  • First Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, International Development or related field from a recognized university.
  • Must have included substantial component on advanced qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
  • Post graduate Diploma in project Management or any other related field will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years experience in M&E or related field.
  • Familiarity with results-based M&E and logical framework planning.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Evidence of initiating new projects and of successfully completing projects.
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office suite and programmes used to analyze large data sets

Responsibilities
  • Manage all call centre on site and remote IT technical support and network administration for our customers and within the organization, with responsibility for the full life cycle of incidents and problems.
Key Tasks
  • Manage all Implementation fixes and solutions where appropriate, either via discussing directly with customer, via calls/SMS, email, remote control or on site.
  • Manage the administration of customer networks as part of managed services provision.
  • Overall in charge of ensuring that all internal systems within the organization/departments as required are properly updated, supported, backed-up and managed.
  • Setup and analyze performance of applications in the production environment and report any recurring problems to the development team.
Skills and Experience
  • B.Sc in CS/IT or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Administer Linux, *BSD servers and Configure and maintain networking equipment: firewalls, routers, managed switches.
  • Administer services including: Apache, LDAP, SAMBA, Postfix, MySQL, subversion, Astericks etc
  • Database administration, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Fluent in a scripting language (preferably Perl/Python).
  • Extensive experience with TCP/IP networking and common network protocols.
  • CISCO qualification(s) would be desirable, however knowledge, interest and awareness of CISCO products is essential.
  • Awareness of SMPP and Astericks IVR implementation would be a benefit.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Time management and task prioritization skills. The ability to work under pressure is a necessity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to generate strong and lasting relationships with our customers.
  • Ability to work ¡n a team, willingness to consult and also have the confidence to make decisions.
  • Driving license and valid passport required.
Software Engineer
  • Reports to HOD Software Development
Responsibilities
  • To develop software applications as assigned.
Key Tasks
  • Collaborate with customers and teams to deliver software.
  • Work with internal teams to improve software quality and deliver new features.
Skills and Experience
  • B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Excellent programming skills in Java, Python & PHP.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ a bonus.
  • Good understanding of common network protocols.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication protocols ¡s a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Unix.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of database technologies and methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of web standards and CSS-based design.
  • Experience with Android development and Javascript a plus.
Web Designer
 
Reports to HOD Software Development
 
Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of layouts for mobile and web applications for Mobile Planet Ltd.
Key Task
  • Design wireframes, develop mock-ups and create prototypes for mobile and web applications.
Skills and Experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in web design.
  • An online portfolio of work that indicates a good knowledge of design principles, typography and colour theory.
  • Good understanding of IA/Ul/UX/interface design.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office/Open Office.
  • Understanding of and experience with interface, mobile and user-centered design.
  • An advanced understanding of HTML/CSS and a working knowledge of the Django framework.
  • Working knowledge of ¡Query and other visually-related JavaScript tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM with online advertising experience.
  • Independent, passionate and responsible with good communication skills.
