Farm Machine Driver - Ndaragua
Salary:
Ksh.
15,000 – 20,000
Our
client, a reputable company in the hay production business with over 12,000
membership from small scale farmers and more than a 1,000 acres of plantation
field is looking to fill the position of a Farm Machine Driver who will report
to the Farm Manager.
Job
Purpose/Summary:
The
Farm Machine Driver shall be responsible driving farm machines, undertaking
maintenance of farm machines and cleaning and servicing of all farm machines
for the Farm.
The
farm machines will include tractors, combine harvesters among others.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Drive
the assigned farm machines(s), ensuring the safety of all staff and
self/or authorized passengers.
- Ensure
that the machine(s) is equipped with first aid kit. Check expiry date for
consumables in the kit and seek replacement as appropriate.
- Ensure
the machine(s) are clean and in good working order.
- Perform
minor routine machine(s) repairs and servicing.
- Make
deliveries to authorized destinations.
- Protect
organization's value by keeping information confident
Required
Qualifications
- KCSE
with minimum grade C+.
- Valid
driver’s licence with minimum class BCE with at least 2 years continuous
driving experience.
- Minimum
2 years work experience in driving tractors and combined harvesters.
