The Judges and Magistrate Vetting Board was established pursuant to section 23 of the sixth schedule to the Constitution and the vetting of Judges and Magistrates Act 2011.
The objective of the board is to vet the suitability of all the Judges and Magistrates who were in office on the effective date to continue to serve in accordance with the values and principles set out in Article 10 and 159 of the constitution.
It shall operate for another period of two (2) years up to and including 31st December 2015.
The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board seeks to recruit officers for one year six months non-renewable contracts, to fill the following positions and a competitive salary will be offered to the successful applicants:-
Job Title: Receptionist

Job Description: An officer at this level will be in-charge of all telephone and reception services at the
Board.

Specific duties and responsibilities will entail: handling enquiries and directing visitors to the appropriate offices; handling telephone operations; making and receiving calls, routine testing of the switchboard facility, compiling visitors traffic data; receiving postal and courier mail and appropriately directing it to the addressees.

Specific duties will include;compiling statistical records;sorting, filing and dispatching of letters; maintaining an efficient filing system; processing appointments, promotion, discipline transfers and other related duties in Human Resource Management; computation of statistical records based on routine or special sources of information; preparing payment vouchers; and compiling data and drafting simple letters.
