Coastal Rural Support Programme, Kenya (CRSP(K)) is a project of the Aga Khan Foundation.
The Programme works in Kinango, Kaloleni and Ganze Districts. Its goal is to contribute to sustainable and equitable improvement in the livelihoods of particularly the poor households by stimulating economic growth and social development in the three districts.
CRSP(K) is also implementing a pre-primary and primary education project to improve the quality of learning in collaboration with Education for the Marginalised Children in Kenya (EMACK).
The Programme invites applications for the position of:
Community Development Facilitator – Education
Reporting to the Project Officer for Education, the CDF will be responsible for mobilization, planning, monitoring and implementation of community development initiatives, putting special emphasis on early childhood development and overall education and the linkages therein with other community development initiatives.
Specifically, he/she shall:

Specifically, he/she shall:
- Assist in community mobilization, awareness raising, needs assessment, planning and implementation of community development initiatives
- Training of teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills
- Mentoring teachers on curriculum delivery to improve learning outcomes
- Training of SMC/PTAs
- Train school communities in the school based planning processes
- Promote networking/linkages amongst stakeholders working on education issues within the project area
- Compile and share timely activity reports within the organization
- And any other duty assigned by the Programme Director

The person should:
The person should:
- Have a minimum of a Diploma in Education or its equivalent
- Have a minimum of three years working experience in the related field
- Be well grounded in education and conversant with the current education trends.
- Have good communication and training skills
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- Be prepared to work with the marginalized communities in the region.
- Be computer literate
