Corporate Relations Director — Kenya
The Head of Corporate Relations Kenya provides leadership in Public Policy, Corporate Affairs, Employee Communications & Engagement, Corporate, Brand PR and Social Responsibility.
The role liaises closely with EABL’s Group Corporate Relations Director, EABL Kenya Managing Director and senior management staff on matters related to public policy, issues management, media and community relations.
In addition, the position further develops and shapes a comprehensive image of EABL Kenya, working closely with other departments and units within EABL as well as establishing and maintaining a portfolio of multidimensional relationships for EABL Kenya.
The ideal candidate should possess 8 years experience at a strategic level in public affairs, communication or government relations.
EABL Head of Responsible Drinking & Corporate Social Responsibility (RD & CSR)
The Head of RD & CSR is responsible for providing leadership, project management and support to the business on the implementation, development and delivery of responsible drinking and corporate social responsibility programmes that positively contributes to EABL’s corporate reputation within the East Africa region.
The role liaises closely with EABL’s Group Corporate Relations Director, EABL business unit leaders and managers to achieve RD and CSR objectives. The individual will lead the EABL Foundation and liaise closely with industry bodies; regulators; NGOs and developmental agencies across the region.
The ideal candidate should possess qualifications and experience in one or more of the following; Marketing, Consulting, Communication, Public Affairs or Project Management and a minimum of 6 years experience in a senior role in a leading industry.
EABL Head of Communications
The Head of Communications liaises closely with EABL’s Group Corporate Relations Director, EABL business unit leaders and managers. This role is responsible for engaging the Company’s key stakeholders behind the company’s strategy across the East African region. In so doing, the Head of Communications sets the tone for the Company’s employee and internal communication.
The role is also responsible for the company’s external communication and managing media relationships. The role holder should possess relevant qualifications in PR, marketing or journalism and at least 5 years experience in business or brand related communications at a strategic level.
EABL Head of Controls, Compliance and Ethics
The purpose of this role is to set and deliver the EABL controls, compliance and ethics strategy.
The role is responsible for establishing and ensuring maintenance of a rock solid controls environment with no cost of non-compliance to EABL and continuously seeking opportunities to further strengthen controls and compliance in our organization.
The role holder will be required to ensure risks are proactively identified and mitigated and lead the embedding of compliance in the fabric.
Interested applicants should possess professional qualifications in audit, accounting or risk management and a track record of performance in risk based internal auditing, compliance and policies.
The applicants must have at least 10 years experience, 5 of which should be at a senior management level with an audit firm or a large corporate organization, preferably one with a complex business. Candidates with a legal background and exposure to controls and compliance are also encouraged to apply.
Controls, Compliance & Ethics Process Improvement Manager
This purpose of this role is to ensure that all functions manage compliance processes and controls efficiently, simpler, better and faster.
This includes creating and monitoring issue trackers, resolution of compliance breaches, coordinating the local policy owners network and driving accountabilities, supporting coordination of CC & E events, campaigns and communication, assisting the business risk manager in continuously seeking opportunities to further strengthen controls and compliance in our organisation, implementing changes to existing ineffective processes and controls using project and change management skill, benchmarking EABL controls and processes against other FMCGs or DIAGEO and actioning internal/external audit recommendations.
Interested applicants should possess professional qualifications in auditing and accounting plus 7 years relevant experience in controls and compliance. Experience in project management would be an added advantage.
EABL Controls Manager
The role holder will be responsible for the implementation and management of the CARM (Controls Assurance and Risk Management) process for the business.
This will entail liaison with Diageo CARM team, management of software to reflect ongoing progress, conduct business unit communications and training on CARM and other control matters, facilitating annual CARM reviews and signoff processes, and continuously seeking opportunities to further strengthen our controls environment, conduct internal testing and provide deep dive audits into high risk areas, manage both internal and external audits.
Interested applicants should possess professional qualifications in legal, audit, accounting or risk management with at least 5 years experience in risk based internal auditing and strong knowledge of internal controls.
