Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide legal advice on tender documents issued by various government departments for the airport/sea port duty free concession. Provide necessary assistance to the Senior Management for the preparation of the tender documents as per the specifications mentioned therein.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.
- Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
- Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
- Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers and brief senior management on the same.
- Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise Senior Management accordingly.
- Review all contracts or any other documentation where the Company has committed itself and advice the management accordingly.
- Liaising with government agencies for obtaining licenses and approvals.
Requirements
- Law degree from a reputable University.
- Must be an enrolled as an Advocate with a valid practicing Certificate
- At Least 3 years post qualification experience with a law firm or in-house legal manager of a Corporate.
- Proven experience In Legal Advisory, Litigation and Contract Management.
