Plan Kenya is recruiting an Internal Controller to be based at Kenya Country Office, Nairobi. This job reports to the Lead Internal Controller.
The job holder will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper use and control of Plan’s assets and resources. This position will involve in-country travel time up to 70 %.

The job holder will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper use and control of Plan’s assets and resources. This position will involve in-country travel time up to 70 %.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake internal regular audits, reporting on same with post audit action planning and monitoring implementation of recommendations
- Undertaking special investigation as required
- Advise on the design and improvement of internal control systems
- Support development of capacity in risk management and related systems and procedures
- Support collation and analysis of audit findings for risk reduction and cost-effectiveness
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Degree in Finance/Accounts or CPA (K) or equivalent
- Professional internal control/audit qualification
- At least 2 years experience in auditing, (preferably in an NGO environment)
- Good understanding of statutory requirements
- Good computer skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Proven information gathering skills
- Good report writing skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
