Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board Finance and Administration Manager Job in Kenya

The Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board is a State Corporation whose main mandate is to publish the national yearbook as well as other publications that record and examine the country’s past, present and future aspirations and experiences.

The inaugural Kenya Yearbook 2010 has just been published and will be launched soon in a national ceremony.

We wish to fill the following positions urgently.

Finance and Administration Manager

The holder of this position will be required to lead the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board in the establishment of sound financial policies, systems and procedures as well as managing the budgeting process.

In addition, he or she will oversee the day to day administrative functions of the organization.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a holder of CPA (K)
• Have budget development and oversight experience
• Experience in office management and administration
• Excellent computer skills.
• Knowledge of government finance and procurement will be an asset.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Science
• Possession of an MBA will be an added advantage.

Associate Editor

The overall purpose of the job is to deputize the Editorial Manager in managing the writing, editing and production of various Board publications.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and person characteristics:

• A university degree with a post-graduate qualification in journalism.
• A minimum of four years experience in journalism or publishing at a senior level.
• Experience in the supervision and control of editorial staff.
• Excellent writing, editing and system skills.
• Analytical and creative skills.
• High degree of integrity.
