1. Project Director

Provides management oversight for country project.

1. Project Director

Provides management oversight for country project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans and manages the project in the country.
- May have representational duties for projects with no Country Director presence.
- Manages project resources in country office and satellites (if applicable).
- Ensures program quality according to FHI standards.
- Ensures the achievement of results of which FHI is responsible under agreement with the donors.
- Ensures that project resources are utilized in accordance with applicable FHI and donor policies and procedures.
- Ensures appropriate monitoring of subprojects to achieve financial, administrative, and programmatic goals.
- Ensures production of timely and accurate financial and programmatic reports to FHI, and donors as required.
- Ensures program quality according to FHI standards.
Position Requirements:
- BS/BA, MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and minimum of 7-11 years relevant experience with international development and HIV/AIDS Prevention education.
- Significant experience specific to HIV/AIDS Prevention education in sub-Saharan Africa, preferably in Kenya.
- Experience collaborating/working with sector-wide stakeholders and government structures e.g. Ministries of Health, Education.
- Prior experience as Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party or position with significant responsibility for human and financial resources’ oversight for multi-million donor funded project.
- Experience with USG/USAID programs including reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Kenya education sector policy environment preferred
2. Deputy Project Director, Youth Specialist

Manages country office administration and programs with deputy functions.

- Plans and manages the assigned project(s) in the country.
- Manages the country office and sub offices (if applicable).
- Ensures the achievement of results of which FHI is responsible under agreement with the donors.
- Ensures that project resources are utilized in accordance with applicable FHI and donor policies and procedures.
- Ensures appropriate monitoring of subprojects to achieve financial, administrative, and programmatic goals.
- Oversees production of timely and accurate financial and programmatic reports to FHI, and donors as required.
- Ensures program quality according to FHI standards.
Position Requirements:
- BS/BA, MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and minimum of 5-9 years relevant experience with international development and HIV/AIDS Prevention education.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing activities focused on HIV/AIDS prevention education for children and youth, preferably in in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Experience collaborating with sector-wide stakeholders and government structures e.g. Ministries of Health, Education; working with community networks; curricular development; and designing, facilitating and evaluating trainings.
- Capacity building and mentoring skills.
- M&E, including reporting skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Kenya education sector policy environment preferred.
3. Senior Technical Officer for Monitoring and Evaluation

Provide technical leadership in a specific technical components for country specific and program wide activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical oversight for designing, development, planning, implementation; and capacity-building of components of global, regional, and/or country-level programs for Executive Office.
- Provide desk and on-site technical oversight to country and/or regional programs and institutions, as appropriate.
- Participate in resource development and other writing on assigned area activities.
- Develop strategies and tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components.
- Conduct analysis of program implementation to identify areas of weakness or opportunity vis a vis the appropriate technical strategy and guidelines.
- Develop and monitor work plans.
- Analyze data sets and technical assessment findings.
- Provide leadership and team building at the project level.
Position Requirements:
- BS/BA, MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and minimum of 5-9 years relevant experience with monitoring and evaluation for HIV/AIDS and/or other public health initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Improvement (QI) processes.
- Experience with USG/USAID programs including reporting requirements.
- Experience in conducting needs assessment and impact evaluation
