Site Engineer

Job Purpose:
Work as part of the site management team, liaising with and working alongside architects, engineers, construction managers, supervisors, planners, surveyors and subcontractors.
Responsible for site security, health and safety, and the organization and supervision of material and human resources.
Key Responsibilities
· Reporting to the
Senior Engineer,
· Setting Out, with
Dumpy Level, Theodolite & Laser Level,
· Engineering Control
· Coordinate Formwork
Set up and placement
· Oversee placement of
Reinforcement and check for 'pre-pour' inspection
· Quantify Concrete
requirements
· setting out, leveling
and surveying the site;
· checking plans,
drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
· ensuring all
materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
· overseeing the
selection and requisition of materials and plant;
· Control/supervision
of labour crews and Equipment sets,
· Quality Control
measures on Concrete placement: Slump tests and Concrete Test Cubes
· Oversee installation
of Drainage, Septic Tanks, Soak pits, Hard stands, roadways and paved areas
Required qualifications & experience
· Degree or higher in
any construction discipline
· 2-3 years relevant
experience working on site for a Construction Company.
· Ability and
Experience of using surveying Equipment: Dumpy level, Theodolite, Laser Level,
etc.
· must have
construction industry experience relevant to the job position
· Must be willing to
relocate on a contract basis to areas where projects are.
· There job location
can be anywhere in the East and Central African region.
· All candidates must

General Foreman

Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing the Construction work and interacting with entire site team to ensure a smoothly run job on site throughout the work day.

· Assessing job
priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job sites.
· Making sure employees
have tools and equipment needed for job in order to ensure a good output.
· Overseeing the work
and making sure it runs smoothly and as per the plan
· Making sure safety
precautions are followed including updating safety kits in case of any
emergencies during the work.
· Giving clear
directions to workers as to what needs to be done to avoid repetitive mistakes
by the workers
· Making sure company
rules are followed by team.
· The foreman should
ensure tools like sprayers, ladders, and traps are brought back from job sites.
· Evaluate quickest and
easiest way to a job without sacrificing quality of the work being done
· Hold the weekly job
site safety meeting and record a record of it in the log for future references.

supervisory position.
· Ability and

Job Purpose:
To establish, manage and maintain all forms of accommodation for the Company ensuring an acceptable standard of living for employees of the Company at the sites .
