Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, the Engineer Airframes & Engines will be responsible for:-

Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, the Engineer Airframes & Engines will be responsible for:-
- Carrying out Scheduled Maintenance of aircraft Airframe & Engine Systems.
- Carrying out Troubleshooting & Defect rectification of aircraft Airframe & Engine Systems.
- Inspection and Certification of work carried out on aircraft Airframe or Engine Systems including issue of Certificate of Release to Service
- Accomplishment of C of A Renewal requirements with regard to aircraft Airframe & Engines.
- Accomplishment of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Modifications & other regulatory requirements affecting aircraft Airframe & Engine Systems.
- Ensuring that maintenance of aircraft Airframe & Engine systems is carried out in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority Requirements, manufacturer’s recommendations & XAK MPM.
- Performing any other aircraft and ground service equipment Maintenance related duties as directed by the Engineering Manager / Head of Maintenance or Line Maintenance Manager
Job Qualifications
& Experience Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Airframe & Engines Option) from a recognized institution.
- KCAA AMEL in Airframes or Engines (Gas Turbine) with possible type Rating/ Type
- Training on one Aircraft or Engine Type operated by Airkenya, i.e. Dash 7, Dash 8, Twin Otter and/or C 208
- Have a minimum of 2yrs total aircraft maintenance experience as a Technician or equivalent on Airkenya fleet
- Have good communication skills & be a team player
- Computer Literate – familiarity with use of digitized libraries and maintenance tracking / planning software is an added advantage.
