Title: KSU Pharmacist
Duty Station / Mission: Nairobi (Kenya Supply Unit Mission)
Background of the position:
The selected candidate will report to the Supply Chain Manager and shall be responsible for implementation and follow up of good pharmaceutical distribution practices and guidelines in the medical warehouse and manage medicines according to the Kenyan Pharmaceutical Regulation for MSF Belgium Kenya Supply Unit
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Main Tasks include, but not limited to:

The selected candidate will report to the Supply Chain Manager and shall be responsible for implementation and follow up of good pharmaceutical distribution practices and guidelines in the medical warehouse and manage medicines according to the Kenyan Pharmaceutical Regulation for MSF Belgium Kenya Supply Unit
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Main Tasks include, but not limited to:
- Updating, implementing and safe guarding good distribution practices and guidelines as per MSF pharmacy protocols and guidelines
- Management of the bulk pharmacy stock according to MSF pharmacy protocols /guidelines and the Kenyan Pharmacy Board regulations
- Management of the medical database
- Inventory management of medical drugs and / or medical/lab supplies & equipments as per the system / requirement in place
- Technical support, training and supervision to the mission pharmacies
- Liaise with diverse stakeholders on all matters related to and connected with management of the bulk pharmacy and the distribution of pharmaceuticals / medical items
- Pharmacy related data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
& Requirements:
Education:
Education:
- Pharmacist (with a degree in pharmacy) registered with Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years professional experience in a similar position.
- Previous MSF experience / NGO experience is an added advantage
Skills:
- Computer literate; good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
- Strong technical, management and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, motivated, autonomous, proactive, patient, discreet, open minded
- Strong sense of confidentiality, team spirit and dynamism
Language:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
Others:
- Careful attention to work and good at detail
