Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and MMed (Internal Medicine) degrees from a recognized University and registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board with a valid practice license.
A certificate of specialist recognition is not mandatory.
Those hoping to obtain an M.Med (Internal Medicine) degree by August 2011 will be considered.
Those with a degree in Public Health will have an added advantage.
Prior work experience in the field of HIV Programming within the public sector will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy is desirable.
The successful candidate will be involved in providing higher level HIV Care and Treatment services, training, mentorship, support supervision and quality improvement among other technical responsibilities.
Please note that this will be a full-time position and will be on a one year contract terms, renewable on mutual agreement.
b) Project Paeditrician

Applicants with PMTC, Paediatric/ Adult ART HIV training, research and /or work experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment will have an added advantage. Prior work experience in the field of HIV programming or project management within the public sector will be an added advantage.
Reporting to the Chairman of Department, through the CO- PIs , the successful candidate will be expected to assist in the coordination of technical activities including mentorship and supervision in HIV prevention, care and treatment with PACT Nairobi supported sites.
He/she will also handle proposal writing and preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to the donor.
Please note that this will be a full-time position and will be on a one year contract terms, renewable on mutual agreement.
2. Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology- PRIME – K Project

The successful candidate must have skills and knowledge in safe and courteous driving, with at least 5 years experience in a similar position. Basic motor vehicle mechanic training will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to transport project personnel, trainees, supplies and equipment , pick up visitors, ensure proper maintenance of vehicles and carry out messenger duties.
Please note that the appointment is on a one year contract term renewable on mutual agreement.

- Supervise field staff, ensure appropriate data is collected and uploaded, leadership of field activities;
- Make monthly reports of project activities and expenses;
- Order supplies and ensure appropriate custody;
- Liaise with relevant offices including local administration, Ministry of health and University of Nairobi to facilitate study administration and implementation;
- Liaise with Project Administrator with regards to study purchases and any other administrative issues;
- Keep clear records of all financial transactions;
- Keep the Principal Investigators updated ton all administrative , research and financial matters;
- Any other duty that may be assigned by Principal Investigator from time to time.
