HR Executive

An exciting position has arisen with our client, a leading Provider of custom software applications in Africa who is looking for an experienced HR Executive.

The ideal candidate should have outstanding Knowledge in HR and PR management preferably in a BPO, IT or service related industry.

Experienced HR Executives with no BPO background will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates.
  • Reporting to senior management and board on attrition and measures in place on it yearly.
  • Assisting in developing, advising on and implementing policies relating to the effective use of personnel within an organization; such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
  • Assisting in developing HR planning strategies with line managers, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements in terms of numbers and skill levels.
  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
  • Interpreting and advising on employment legislation.
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
  • Conducting staff appraisals.
Qualifications/ Experience
  • Diploma or Higher Diploma in HR Resource management.
  • Minimum 2 years human resources experience in a BPO ITES field or related industry
  • Experience in any of these areas will be an added advantage i.e. Change management, Process Improvement, compensation or staffing.
  • Ability to influence senior management, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and provide thought leadership.
  • Strategic planning, complex problem resolution and general management expertise.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player with high level of interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Business driven with strong financial acumen.
