Transport Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:  

To ensure sufficient cane is delivered to the Factory for milling, ensure cane is efficiently loaded from the fields, submit daily performance reports and co-ordinate with Harvesting and Factory Production (milling) in determining levels of cane delivery to the Factory.

Skills and Specifications: 

Should be holder of Bsc. Degree in Agriculture Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in Transport operations, Diploma holder in Agriculture Engineering with over 5 years experience in sugar industry, Diploma in Transport Management, Good Labour Management experience and public
Relations with emphasis in dispute resolution or any other relevant training and experience.

Assistant Transport Manager

Duties and Responsibilities: 

To assist Transport Manager in coordination of cane lifting, ensure high staff discipline, Submit daily performance reports to Transport Manager, develop daily, weekly and monthly work plan for cane haulage and monitor the fuel usage. 

Skills and Specifications: 

Holder of first Degree in Agriculture Engineering, Business Management or Diploma in Transport Management with 6 years on job experience in sugar industry, good labour management experience. Have good communication skills. 

Transport Supervisor – 2 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the control chart is adequately followed, make follow ups on the fleets in the field, coordinate evacuation of tractors with mechanical problems in the field, organize with security personnel for guarding of trailers left in the field or along the road, write job cards for any repairs.

Requirements for Appointment: 

A Degree or Diploma in Logistics, valid driving license, at least 3 years experience in running of Transportation fleet, good communication skills, ability to organize and manage the work force.

Cane Development Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:  

Manage, co-ordinate and recruit farmers, ensure that the farmers get the planting materials, ensure timely land preparation, co-ordinate and supervise timely supply of farm in-puts, Manage and ensure proper crop husbandry is carried out by the farmers.

Skills and Specifications: 

Holder of Bsc. (Agriculture) degree or a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution, must have excellent supervision skills, good communication skills, extensive experience in the sugar industry, possess a valid driving license.

Assistant Cane Supply Superintendent – 2 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Assist the Agricultural Service Manager to Manage, coordinate and recruit farmers, ensure proper practices of crop husbandry are carried out by the farmers, be able to carry out research and development of sugarcane varieties suitable for the region, ensure that the acreage targets are attained, coordinate and manage the farmers field days.

Skills and Specifications: 

Holder of Bsc. (Agriculture) diploma in agronomy/agriculture with 5 years experience in sugar industry, good communication skills, posses a valid driving license, must be computer literate, must be a team player, must have good supervisory skills, be able to meet targets, be able to work under pressure.
