Provision of Recruitment and Selection Services
 
1. Background
 
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nation’s global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. 

UNDP Kenya Country office has been in leading in supporting development efforts based on the Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) and United Nations Development Assistance (UNDAF) Frame work. 

Within this assistance framework, UNDP Kenya Country Office supports the Government and other non-state actors fulfill their mandate in areas such as poverty reduction, achieving MDGS, reduced risk and impact of natural disasters and assistance in facilitating development

UNDP Kenya Country office achieves these goals by consolidating on knowledge and experience sharing, and by advocating for effective development policies and programmes.
 
UNDP strategy for managing human resources, which is designed as a People-Centered Strategy, takes as its point of departure a simple conviction: that human resources is about people and people are the core asset of the UNDP. As with human development, this places the individual and her/his aspirations, responsibilities, values and capabilities at the centre of UNDP work.
 
2. Objective
 
The assignment is to provide outsourced recruitment processing services including advertising, headhunting/search support assessment and short-listing to UNDP. 

Additionally, it also involve strengthening the HR department’s recruitment capability by developing and initiating a fully integrated recruitment and selection process and making use of technological advances in order to effectively acquire, deploy, develop, motivate and retain staff and to improve the HR department’s overall effectiveness.

Sealed proposal documents comprising the technical proposal and the financial proposal in separate sealed envelopes clearly marked “RFP /UNDPKEN/009/2012: Consultancy for Provision of Recruitment and Selection Services for UNDP, Kenya should be dropped at the UNDP TENDER BOX placed at the main entrance reception of UN Complex in Gigiri and addressed to:

The closing date for submissions is Tuesday, 24 July 2012 by 12.00 noon Kenya time.
 
A pre-bidding Conference will be held at the UNDP Conference Room, Block N, Ground floor, UN Complex on Tuesday, 10 July 2012 at 11.00 A.M.
 
UNDP Kenya reserves the right to accept or reject any submissions.
