background
The
World Food Programme Somalia activities include food assistance for nutrition,
livelihoods, relief and emergency school feeding, while also supporting
humanitarian air and logistics services, food security coordination and
infrastructure rehabilitation projects.
This
position is open to qualified Kenyan nationals only.
Female

Major
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under
the direct supervision of Head of the Cooperating Partners (CP) Coordination
and Support Unit, within the delegated authority the Programme Officer will be
responsible for the following duties:-
- Develop
and sustain liaison with WFP Somalia partners and manage information
database;
- Manage
partnership proposals, review and ensure accuracy of the documents
submitted;
- Manage
Project Review Committee(PRC) process and preparation of Field Level
Agreements(FLA);
- Update
Cooperating Partners (CP) profiling, capacity assessment and evaluation;
- Design
and maintain CP Invoice Processing database;
- Oversee
CP reports collection, entry, analysis and reporting;
- Manage
CP records ensuring screening against corporate risk management tools;
- Oversee
preparation and dissemination of timely, analytical and critical reports;
- Supervise
other programme staff; provide training and technical guidance in their
work;
- Ensure
compliance with WFP’s policies, criteria and procedures;
- Perform
other related duties as required.
Minimal
Qualifications:
Education:
University
degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Economics, Agriculture,
International Affairs, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Development
Studies or a relevant field relevant to Development Assistance.
Experience: At least three years
of postgraduate professional experience in Commerce, Development Administration
or Food Aid Support.
Language:
Fluency
in both oral and written communication in English. Somali speaking candidates
are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge:
Training
and/or Experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet
or other standard WFP software packages and systems.
