An
established, high-growth agricultural products company based in Nairobi is
looking for an energetic, adaptable and experienced Producer
Trainer to deliver training sessions to smallholder farmers in rural
areas across the country.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Organize
and run training sessions for farmers in regions such as Kakamega, Kwale
and Siaya
- Develop
and adjust the curriculum used in these training sessions
- Create
original and engaging activities that effectively illustrate complex
concepts to individuals of all education levels
- Compile
and analyze feedback from training sessions, using the result to inform
changes to future sessions
- Draft
documents such as work plans, monthly reports and expense logs
Requirements:
- 2
– 3 years of experience in adult education and/or professional training,
with the governmental, non-governmental or private sector
- 2
– 3 years of experience working in agricultural or rural settings
- Proven
success in executing training sessions, and designing lesson plans and
curriculum
- Organized,
punctual, and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Kiswahili
(other Kenyan languages are not required, but are considered an asset)
- Ability
to effectively present to groups of up to 50 individuals
- Computer
and internet skills
- Willingness
to undertake significant travel
