The
Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is a non-profit making organization
based in Kisumu dedicated to improving reproductive health of men and
women.
NRHS
is recruiting the following positions:
Head of Finance
(Kisumu-based)
Reporting
to the director, the incumbent will be responsible for the administration of
the financial aspects of the program, participate in budget preparation and
implementation as well as providing accounting information for sound management
decision making.
The
position holder will supervise accounting staff across all programme areas and
should be an individual with integrity, good communication skills,
self-motivated and committed to NRHS values.
Desired
training and skills
- A
master’s degree in relevant field with CPA(K) qualifications
- At
least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience
in budget preparation and financial reporting
- At
least two years’ experience in PEPFAR and other donor contracts,
cooperative agreements and grant regulations
Accountant
(Kisumu-based)
Reporting
to the Head of Finance, the position-holder will ensure that the petty cash
disbursements are duly approved in accordance with the financial policy
guidelines; working with the stores manager, periodically update the asset
registers; verify LPOs and payment vouchers to ensure adequate description,
casting and support; conduct daily reconciliations of actual cash balances with
the Quickbooks imprest ledgers and ensure that all transactions are posted in
the cash book daily.
He/she
will also ensure that statutory returns are filed in a timely manner and will
also be responsible for performing monthly bank reconciliations
Desired
training and skills
- A
bachelor’s degree in relevant field with CPA(K) qualifications
- At
least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- At
least two years’ experience in USG and other donor contracts, cooperative
agreements and grant regulations
- Should
be an expert user of Quickbooks software
Human Resource Manager
(Kisumu-based)
Reporting
to the director, the incumbent will be responsible for providing HR
administrative support to the NRHS office as well as undertaking HR functions
for the organization.
He/she
will maintain and update an accurate employee database; assist in recruitment
and orientation of new
employees;
and prepare and reconcile payrolls on a monthly basis in liaison with the
finance team.
He/she
should be an individual with integrity, good communication skills, self
motivated and committed to NRHS values
Desired training and skills
- Degree
in Human Resource Management
- CPS-K
qualifications
- At
least three years’ experience in a multi-donor NGO set-up
- Excellent
computer skills with commitment to high professional integrity and
confidentiality
IT Manager
Reporting
to the director, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the
organizations IT platform.
He
will be in-charge of maintaining computers and servers, will perform routine
audits of systems, perform backups, maintain system security and apply
operating system updates.
He/she
will ensure that the network infrastructure runs smoothly.
Desired training and skills
- Degree
in a related field: computer science, Information Technology, Computer
Engineering, Information Systems Management, etc.
- Industry
certification such as MCSA, MCSE, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA’s A+ or Network+,
- Management
of Windows Server 2003 or higher and Active Directory
- Expert
knowledge in LAN and WAN technologies
- Working
knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008
- Hardware
and software troubleshooting
- At
least two years’ experience in a similar position
