The Canadian High Commission seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced Chancery Manager to supervise and manage the Building Maintenance Section.
Reporting to the Property Manager, Chancery safety is your top priority.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
- Scheduling maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery integral to the Chancery. This includes managing a budget for parts and tools, hiring contractors, and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- You hire, train and supervise maintenance crews.
- Purchasing and for estimates on new equipment, and will be involved in the bidding process to select suppliers and vendors.
- Familiarity with for both predictive maintenance scheduling and the purchasing process would be beneficial.
- Supervising the maintenance of all building, electrical, and mechanical systems within the Chancery.
- Monitoring and supervising roads, ground landscaping and general maintenance works
- Engaging consultants and monitoring progress of project activities
- Managing, developing and motivating a competent maintenance team
Essential qualifications
- Multi skilled, university graduates with excellent management skills as well as sound hands on experience
- At least 5 year of recent experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical and maintenance technicians
- Ability to rapidly adapt to modern technology is a prerequisite as the Chancery is equipped with State of the Art Systems including modern refrigeration, lifting and pneumatic devices as well as power units and climate control systems
- Experience in negotiating with various stakeholders
- Experience in managing collaborative relationships with multiple functional areas.
