The Judiciary, one of the
three co-equal Arms of Government, has been implementing a
comprehensive transformation programme that puts effective and efficient
service delivery at the centre of its framework for change.
To enhance its capacity
to implement the Judiciary Transformation Framework, the Judiciary
wishes to expand its technical human resources by filling the following
positions.
Job title: Regional Judicial Services Coordinator
Job title: Regional Judicial Services Coordinator

Location: Designated Region
Responsible for: Station Judicial Services Court Administrators
Job Purpose:
The Regional Judicial
Services Coordinator serves as the liaison between the Judiciary’s
administrative offices and the courts throughout the Region.
The stations in a Region may be between 6 and 10.
The jobholder will
coordinate judicial services in the Region and provide leadership to
Station Judicial Services Court Administrators.
Experience:
- At least 7 years working experience in the legal sector
- Demonstrated competence and experience in Legal Research
- Management/ administrative experience of at least 7 years
- Knowledge and experience of court processes
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications; and
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Qualifications:
Academic:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Professional:
- Advocate of the High Court
Job title: Court – Judicial Services Administrator

Reports to: Head of Station and functionally to the Regional Judicial Services Coordinator
Location: Court Station
Responsible for: Station Head of Registry Services, Library Officer, Court Clerks, Legal Researchers
Job Purpose: The
job holder is responsible for the effective and efficient provision of
judicial services such as case management, registry, legal research,
library and execution of court decisions.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have;
- At least 5 years working experience in the legal sector
- Demonstrated competence and experience in Legal Research
- Management / administrative experience of at least five (5) years
- Knowledge and experience of court processes
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications; and
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Law

- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
Job title: Court Administrator – Finance, Administration and Human Resource Management

Reports to: Head of Station and functionally to the Regional Judicial Services Coordinator
Location: Court Station
Responsible for: Station administrative staff
Job Purpose:
Under the direction of
the Regional Finance and Human Resources Coordinator and the Head of
Station, the Court Administrator plans, organizes, and directs court
administrative activities.
As a senior
administrative position within the administrative unit of the court
station, the position is responsible for providing leadership and
guidance in all administrative areas with emphasis on the development
and implementation of efficient and cohesive administrative processes
and practices.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should;
- Have at least 6 years experience leading a relevant professional function in a busy organization;
- Be proficient in computer applications with strong emphasis on data and financial management software;
- Have knowledge and general experience in Financial Management, Human Resource Management, ICT, and facilities management; and
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Qualifications:
Academic:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
Professional:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or
- Certified Public Secretary (CPS)
Job Title: Senior Deputy Registrar, High Court

Reports to: Registrar, High Court or Registrar, Magistrates Courts
Location: High Court Station
Responsible for: Station Deputy Registrars
The ideal candidate should;
- Have served for at least ten years as a professionally qualified magistrate; or attained at least ten years experience as a distinguished academic or legal practitioner or such experience in other relevant legal field;
- Demonstrated competence in the performance of administrative duties for not less than three years
- Meet the requirements for appointment as a Judge of the High Court
- Possess strong leadership and management skills;
- Have sound judgment and decision making abilities;
- Be proficient in computer applications;
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
- Training and experience in organizational / business management / administration will be an added advantage.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Professional:
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
