AutoCAD Designer Job in Kenya (USD 2,000 - 2,500)

A well established Engineering & Construction Company is looking for an experienced AutoCAD Designer. 

The successful candidate must be able to manage and deliver small to large scale projects and produce civil/structural/electrical/mechanic engineering drawings to satisfy or exceed client requirements. 

It will include new build and refurbishment projects in a variety of sectors.
 

Responsibility:

• Perform complex drafting assignments utilizing both manual and computer aided design and drafting software; plan, sections, elevations, details, construction documents for review and approval
• Provide CAD (computer-aided design) and drafting support to the Supervising Consultant’s engineering and surveying teams
• Study preliminary project design drawings and requirement
• Correct and modify drawing based on Design Engineer's recommendations
• Calculate weights, volumes, and stress factors and their implications for technical aspects of designs.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.

Required skills:

• A degree in civil engineering or equivalent tertiary degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an AutoCAD designer/draughtsman.
• Proficient with the latest AutoCAD applications.
• Proficient with FrameCAD ProDesign and FrameCAD Detailer
• Excellent working knowledge of the REVIT suite of software.
• Working knowledge of Google Sketch Up.
• Commercial awareness of design.
• Solid understanding of architectural, structural and civil design.
• Understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering systems.
• Intimate knowledge of current international building codes.
• Surveying experience and experience with software to link total station data to AutoCAD

Monthly gross salary: 2,000 – 2,500USD depending on experience
