The Role
Ensure that country security strategies are developed, implemented, monitored and reviewed consistently with Oxfam policies and standard and requirement.
To provide efficient security and safety support to the Regional Office with regard to its programs in Somalia and Kenya through information collection and analysis, security advise and staff movement tracking.
The Person
- Considerable practical experience security assessment, planning and implementation of procedures in the context of UN or NGO humanitarian operations.
- Proven influencing and negotiating skills with internal and external audience including in complex and stressful circumstances.
- Bachelor degree in Arts, Social Sciences, or any related field.
- However, a diploma backed by strong relevant technical experience will also be considered.
- Any relevant security management or intelligence training. 3 years relevant experience, preferably in a security management environment.
- Strong analytical as well as administrative skills.
- Willingness to travel within short notice, and often in difficult circumstances
