Simba Hospitality is a home-grown Kenyan brand of hospitality and is responsible for the conception and management of Villa Rosa Kempinski, Olare Mara Kempinski and upcoming Acacia Hotels. It is the fastest growing division of Simba Corporation.
Simba Hospitality is looking to recruit two senior level positions.
Operations Manager
The Operations Manager will oversee the operations of the Hospitality division. He/She will be tasked with meeting or exceeding planned objectives for the hotel set up projects and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and product quality standards are met.
Primary responsibilities:
- Pre-opening of new hotels
- Maintaining brand standards in all the hospitality units.
- Assistance in setting up new hotels.
- Assistance in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment for the hotels.
- Hiring of staff and implementing training schedules.
- Developing and ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures and staff Job descriptions for the hospitality division.
- Assisting in the design of food and beverage offerings.
- Overseeing and managing and maximizing room revenue through yield management.
Required qualifications: Bachelors degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
Project Management qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience: 7 to 10 years experience in a hotel or the broader hospitality industry and in managing multiple properties. Pre-opening experience is a must.

Financial Controller
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the hospitality financial management and accounting requirements.
This will include providing meaningful and timely information on the status of the hospitality business’ performance and to pro-actively identify cost containment, revenue enhancement and profit improvement opportunities while safeguarding the company’s assets.
Primary responsibilities:
- Ensure proper and complete accounting records of the hospitality programme are maintained.
- Implement all necessary controls to safeguard the assets of the hospitality programme.
- Prepare and interpret the financial statements and reports of the hospitality programme.
- Provide financial information to the Chief Hospitality Officer and the Directors as tools for maximizing profits and planning for the future.
- Compile, together with the other hospitality senior managers, budgets and forecasts covering all activities of the hospitality programme.
- Compile treasury/cash flow forecasts for the hospitality programme.
- Establish financial controls and procedures and ensure they are being complied with at all times.
Required qualifications: Bachelors degree in a business related field, CPA (K) or ACCA.
Experience: 7 to lo years experience ¡n the hospitality industry.
