Our client, a leading tours & travel company is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager in the industry to join their expanding team. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading the development and implementation of all communications with the aim of getting more revenue from prospective and existing clients
• Generate actionable business decisions and thereby ensuring that planning is client centered
• To develop and implement the annual marketing plan in line with overall company objectives
• Grow direct business 
• Gain greater understanding of prospective and existing clients in order to facilitate effective planning.
• Responsible for commissioning and reporting back to the business on all consumer/customer related research
• Ensure that Individual & team Key Performance Indicators are met
• Leverage on local partnerships to drive direct business
• Aim to improve customer service and reduce the number of unnecessary complaints
• To support the business with frequent reporting that shows the marketing effectiveness
• closely monitor competitor activity and identify areas of good practice that can be built upon
• ensure that costs are competitive and pricing is relevant to the industry and season
• manage all budgets in the marketing department and ensure that all funds are optimized
• Responsible for management and personal development of employees directly reporting to you

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business
• Professional qualifications in marketing preferred
• Minimum 5 years marketing management experience ideally in tourism and travel industry
• Highly motivated, ‘can do’ attitude with proven interpersonal skills
• Proactive, enthusiastic and a team player
• Good people manager with a focus on development
• Multi-tasking skills - highly adaptable
• Flexible working hours and travel
• Strong presentation skills - written and verbal
