Deputy Principal, Kenya Science Campus
The University of Nairobi seeks to appoint a Deputy Principal for Kenya Science Campus (KSC).
Applicants should be Professors or Associate Professors of the University on Permanent and Pensionable terms of employment.
They should have managed academic programmes and discharged administrative responsibilities.
The Deputy Principal shall be Head of Campus Academic and Administrative functions and be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for maintaining and promoting efficient management of the Campus.
The specific function for the Deputy Principal will be to coordinate the teaching of Bachelor of Education Science at Kenya Science Campus in addition to any other duties that may be allocated by the Vice-Chancellor. He or she will be a member of the School Boards of Education, Mathematics, Computing and Informatics, Physical and Biological Sciences.
The Deputy Principal shall be a member of the College Academic Boards and College Management Boards of the Colleges of Education and External Studies and Biological and Physical Sciences.
The Deputy Principal shall play a leading role in the ongoing change and transformation process especially in respect of the management of human, physical and financial resources of the University. They should have at least three (3) years of experience at senior management level.
In addition, they should be persons of high integrity with proven management and leadership skills, be avid researchers and fundraisers.
