CUE Security Officer Job in Kenya (KShs 23K - 28K)

The Commission for University Education is a State Corporation established by an Act of Parliament, Universities Act 2012, to provide for development of university education; the establishment, accreditation and governance of universities in Kenya.

In order to strengthen its human resource capacity, the Commission invites applications from candidates to fill the following vacant position:

Security Officer II

CUE 4

This is the entry and training grade to this cadre.
 

Key Responsibilities 

• undertake security patrols; 
• switching on and off security lights as necessary; 
• make occurrence book entries; 
• report critical incidents; 
• planning and designing security documents such as passes, registers; 
• provide comprehensive and confidential reports on security issues as required Coordinate the outsourced security services. 
• Undertake crowd control and control of intruders from restricted areas. 
• perform shift work at various designated locations wherever necessary;

Requirements
 

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C Plain or its equivalent; 
• Diploma in Criminology or equivalent from a recognized institution; 
• a valid First Aid Certificate from a recognized institution; 
• undergone a Six (6) weeks approved security course from the Kenya Police Service or any other approved institution; 
• a Certificate of good conduct valid for one year from the Kenya Police Service; 
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Salary: CUE 4 - Ksh.23,434 - 28,485 pm
