Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) a non-profit organization with its headquarters in Kisumu, is dedicated to improving reproductive health of men and women.
NRHS has several research and programme projects related to HIV/STI prevention and treatment; it runs support groups for MARPS, and is working with the Ministry of Health to scale up adult and infant male circumcision for HIV prevention.
NRHS seeks highly qualified candidates for the position ofDirector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the Society’s projects and overseeing its operations including finance, administration, logistics, procurement and human resources.
He/she may also serve as Principal Investigator on several projects and assist the Board and collaborators to pursue new initiatives as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for effective management of projects to meet objectives and timelines in accordance with NRHS and donor principles, policies and procedures.
- Regularly report to and work closely with the Board of Directors
- Represent NRHS to donors, health authorities, NGOs, networks and other parties as necessary.
- Prepare accurate, timely and innovative project proposals.
- Ensure NRHS administrative, financial and logistical systems/procedures are adhered to and that NRHS complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Overall management and appraisal of project staff in collaboration with the Human Resources Officer.
- Ultimately responsible for staff selection, recruitment, and support.
Desired Experience, Skills and Training:
- Bachelor degree in any human health-related degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent strongly preferred
- A Masters in Public Health or related field or equivalent.
- At least five years experience managing health-related projects.
- Familiarity with the Kenyan health system and governmental structures
- Excellent computer skills, report writing and budgeting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead and motivate staff
- Experience in managing projects funded by U.S. government donors will be an added advantage
- Experience with research and writing successful grant proposals will be an added advantage
