Call for Expression of Interest for Food Processing Business Opportunity

The International Potato Center (CIP) invites qualified and experienced private sector food processing companies to participate in an exciting opportunity with a major retailer for the supply of processed sweet potato products. 

We are interested in hearing from companies and entrepreneurs willing to engage in producing an additional product line in Nyanza Province. 

This will be a Public-Private Sector Partnership, with CIP and its partners providing technical backstopping. 

To make an application please provide us with relevant information on your current business, e.g. nature of business, product focus and range, management structure, quantified records of business achievement including records of your outputs over the last 5 years and major challenges you have faced in the last 5 years and how you overcame them, by 5 November, 2014. 

We will need proof of ISO or HACCP food safety certifications, certificate of company registration and access to at least US$30,000 in working capital for start-up.

We will be selecting several applicants who will be invited to attend an orientation meeting in early November and subsequently be invited to submit a business plan by the end of November 2014.
