Amazing Sales Management Opportunity in the Waste Management and Recycling Industry

Our client is an innovative young company that seeks to change the waste management and recycling space in Nairobi and beyond. 

The company is currently scaling up its operations and is looking to recruit a Senior Sales Manager responsible for waste collection services. 
 
The position holder will be in charge of management the company’s sales of waste collection services across different income areas. 

As part of the management team, the position holder will take up significant responsibility in a fast-growing company. 
 
Position Title: Senior Sales Manager, Waste Collection

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for sales of waste collection services (across all income areas and client types) with focus on business-to-business-to-consumer (b2b2c) and business-to-business (b2b);
  • Management and building-up of a strong and highly driven  sales team;
  • Designing and implementing sales strategies and structures for market share growth;
  • Collaboration with other teams within the organization(collection, processing and product development) to enhance synergy and seamless operations;
  • Take a lead in sales pitching,  correspondence and negotiations with corporate clients;
  • Drive expansion and market share growth  of the company while focusing on cost management;
  • Live by and communicate an image of ‘clean and green’ to clients in all interactions;
  • Prepare reports and regularly update the CEO on all sales related aspects;
  • Perform any other duties as may be required by the CEO from time to time;
Qualifications and Background
  • A holder of a university degree in sales and (or) marketing or other relevant field;
  • A postgraduate or advanced diploma in sales and (or ) marketing from a reputable body will be an added advantage;
  • Over 5 years sales experience 3 of which must have been in a sales  leadership and management position;
  • Proven track record in selling services with a strong background in solution selling e.g. Insurance services, banking services, facility management services, hygiene and sanitation services etcetera;
  • Experience in selling services to markets comprising different income groups (low-income to high-income);
  • Experience in selling services to different customer groups (business customers, residential customers, government, non-governmental and quasi-governmental institutions);
  • Exposure to managing  medium to large and diverse sales teams of 20 or more people;
  • Proven team-building, motivational  and leadership skills in different settings and situations;
  • Proven ability to set up and implement sales structures for sales  achievement;
  • Self-driven and result oriented with a keen eye to meeting and exceeding set targets;
  • Proven ability to uphold  high professional and ethical standards in all interactions with staff and clients;
