The officer will head the Supply Chain Management Unit and will be responsible to the Chief Officers Finance for the efficient management of supply Chain Management Services

Specific duties will include: -
  • Responsible for day to day management of the entire supply chain department;
  • Issue/provide administrative guideline on implementation  and interpretation of Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005 and the supporting regulations;
  • Develop County Annual procurement plan and ensure its full implementation
  • Advice the entire County Government on matters relating to Supply Chain Management
  • Prepare tender documents in accordance with Public Procurement Act 2005 and the implementing regulations  and coordinate the entire tendering process;

Job Profile
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for;



  • Continuous review of the Bank’s Lending Strategy, Policy and establishment of a regime of controls and disciplines that ensures compliance with lending principles and guidelines laid down in the Credit Policy Document.
  • Continually review portfolio measures; including industry limits, tenor limits, risk rating, NPLs, risk acceptance criteria, and credit risk matrices.
  • Analysis of appropriate Management Information Systems on Credit Risk, discretionary credit authorities, documentation exceptions, line excesses, Banking Act compliance, defaults and expired limits and initiation of remedial action as necessary

  • Carry out industry and sector economic survey at a macro-economic level and provide statistical data thereof for senior management information on a need basis and more regularly to relevant departments.
  • Ensuring agreed remedial actions for NPL relationships at minimal cost.
  • Give guidance and advice on all Credit Risk Management, Administration and Policy related issues for the Bank.
  • Approving certain extensions of credit as required by these policies. Ensuring material policy exceptions are escalated for approval by the Board Credit Committee.
  • Give guidance on credit strategy, appropriateness of staffing levels and talent hiring within the bank’s business plan.

Competency Requirements
  • Ability to translate the bank’s corporate strategy into departmental business plans and operationalize the same through a focused performance management regime.
  • Knowledge of all lending products (both local and international) and the level of complexity inherent in those products.
  • Ability to evaluate position of solvency of a business and prudent decisions against credit application.
  • Ability to develop credit policies in the Financial Services sector.

Expression of Interest (EoI) for the Development of a County Cultural Exhibition, Information and Commercial Centre in Voi


Taita Taveta County is one of the 47 counties established by the Constitution of Kenya 2010. 

It is located on south western part of the country and boarders Kwale, Kilifi, Tana River, Kitui,  Makueni and Kajiado Counties as well as the Republic of Tanzania. 

Taita Taveta County has a land mass of 17,000 km2 and hosts the Kenya's largest and world renowned wildlife conservation areas known as Tsavo East and West national parks. 

Additionally, the county is endowed with both gemstones and industrial mineral deposits as well rangelands suitable for both beef and dairy animal husbandry.

The Taita-Taveta County Government wishes to construct a multi-purpose development centre in Voi to support investment and as marketing channel. 


The facility will be used to show case the history and culture of the people of Taita-Taveta. 

The center will also be used to provide information on:
  • Tourism attraction sites including homestay tourism.
  • Investment opportunities in mining both gemstone and industrial minerals
  • Livestock production and marketing (including fish and poultry)
  • Marketing of Agriculture produce.
As the facility is supposed to be a standalone profit centre, space will be rented out for conferencing,
retailing and banking services to provide the revenue streams to run the facility.
 
Additionally, the centre will be the take off and landing for the Air balloon Safaris.
 
The County Government therefore calls for expression of interest from experienced consortia with
capability to:
  • Mobilize Financial resources for financing the development
  • Carry out architectural design, engineering and construction
  • Operate the facility for an agreed period of time and thereafter transfer the asset to the Government of Taita Taveta County.

Notice: Lease of Game Lodge

 
The County Government hereby invite interested investors for lease of Maralal Game Lodge, a tourist facility fully owned by Samburu County Government and located within Maralal Game Sanctuary. 

Maralal Town is situated within a tourist Circuit that commences in Samburu National Reserve, connecting to Lake Turkana, Sibiloi, Marsabit or Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria, Lake Nakuru circuits.

The features of the property are as follows:-

  • The lodge is located in a protected Sanctuary and serene environment.
  • It has been operating for over 50 years and has been well established and improved over  years.
  • One can watch wild animals like Eland, Buffaloes, Gravy Zebras, All Kinds of Antelopes,  Warthogs and many species of birds while sited in the restaurant or in the rooms.
The facility has a well established clientele.

The facility is connected to national electricity grid and main pipeline from Maralal Water and Sewerage Company.
 
The property will be leased on a negotiated medium to long term leasehold with a reasonable goodwill.
