Notice: Lease of Game Lodge
 

The County Government hereby invite interested investors for lease of Maralal Game Lodge, a tourist facility fully owned by Samburu County Government and located within Maralal Game Sanctuary. 

Maralal Town is situated within a tourist Circuit that commences in Samburu National Reserve, connecting to Lake Turkana, Sibiloi, Marsabit or Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria, Lake Nakuru circuits.

The features of the property are as follows:-

• The lodge is located in a protected Sanctuary and serene environment.
• It has been operating for over 50 years and has been well established and improved over  years.
• One can watch wild animals like Eland, Buffaloes, Gravy Zebras, All Kinds of Antelopes,  Warthogs and many species of birds while sited in the restaurant or in the rooms.

The facility has a well established clientele.

  Reception
• Master terraces
  Restaurant 
• Managers office
  Telephone room
• Parking bay
• Curio Shop

Cottages
 

The lodge has twelve (12) beautiful Cottages (visitors rooms) which are self-contained and fitted with solar panels, electric power supply with warm water heating system, fire places and other accessories. 
 

Staff quarters 

One spacious self-contained bed room with a mature garden and perimeter life fence

Manager’s residence

• Two bed roomed self-contained and spacious rooms
• Spacious Lounge
• Kitchen
• Entrance porch

Other facilities

• An operational swimming pool.
• Two big underground storage tanks
• Generator rooms

The Sanctuary is provided with 24 hours security by the County Government Rangers.
 

The property has adequate space/land for expansion, good road and communication network.
 

The facility is connected to national electricity grid and main pipeline from Maralal Water and Sewerage Company.
 

The property will be leased on a negotiated medium to long term leasehold with a reasonable goodwill.
