The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources (HR) Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager (Operations), the HR Manager will be expected to deliver the HR role in an efficient, proactive and results-oriented fashion for improved productivity at the workplace.

She/he will be in charge of recruitment, performance management, training, promotions, employee relations, deployment, compensation, discipline, rewards & sanctions, organizational development, tapping and retention of talent as well as learning and development that inculcates a culture of highly motivated and self-driven employees.

The successful candidate shall develop a vibrant organizational and work culture through a dynamic change management platform to ensure the Fund embraces best practices at work.

Key responsibilities:-
  • Developing and maintaining sound HR policies and systems to foster a modern management culture
  • Implementing and monitoring performance appraisals
  • Refining HR strategies to meet the Fund's strategic objectives
  • Maintaining effective mechanisms for harmonious employee relations and sustaining a conducive work environment
  • Ensuring employees are trained, skilled and motivated
  • Fostering effective communication and policy dissemination at all levels within the organization. This includes liaison with the relevant labour union on employee relations
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, internal staff regulations, HR Policies, and Human Capital Standards
  • Mainstreaming gender and disability objectives of the Fund
  • Upskilling the competitiveness of the Fund's talent pool
  • Implementing appropriate reward and recognition schemes
Qualifications:-
  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Arts or Social Sciences
  • Post graduate diploma in Human Resources and/or Personnel Management
  • MBA degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in HR Management with at least five (5) years at senior management level.
  • Excellent inter-personal, organizational, strategic and analytical skills
  • Strong background in performance management and appraisals
