For appointment to the grade of Senior Fiscal Analyst a candidate must have;

For appointment to the grade of Senior Fiscal Analyst a candidate must have;
- Masters degree in economics or equivalent from a recognized University
- Have served at the level of Fiscal Analyst for three (3) years or senior economist for three (3) years in the public service
- At least 8 years relevant work experience in public finance related area
- Good understanding of national budgetary process and Economic/fiscal policies
- Team builder with good supervisory skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be computer literate
Duties and responsibilities
The duties at this level will include the following:

- Heading specific sections of the division and giving guidance to other analysts
- Leading specific budget and economic tasks towards achieving the division objectives
- Formulating the section's Annual Work Plan, monitoring and evaluating its implementation
- Preparing and delivering budgetary information to members and relevant House Committees
- Assisting in Budget workshops planning and participating in the workshops
- Carrying out commissioned Budget analysis and research on specific area of interest as deemed necessary by the Head of Department
- Carrying out assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Government Policy Options relating to resource Mobilization and allocation.
- Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned by the Division head
2. Fiscal Analyst I

For appointment to the grade of budget analyst I, a candidate must have:

For appointment to the grade of budget analyst I, a candidate must have:
- A master degree in Economics or its equivalent from a recognized University
- Must have served as Fiscal Analyst II for three (3) years or served as economist I for three years in the Public Service.
- Good understanding of national budgetary process and economic issues
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be computer literate
Duties and responsibilities
The duties at this level will include the following:

- Carrying out commissioned Budget and economic analysis and research on specific areas of interest.
- Collecting and collating budgetary and economic information from various sources for analysis
- Carrying out assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Government Policy Options relating to Allocation and Utilization of Resources.
- Assisting in Preparing and delivering budgetary information to Members and relevant House Committees
- Assisting in Budget workshops planning and participating in the workshops
- Assisting in formulating the Departmental Annual Work Plan
- Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
3. Fiscal Analyst II

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

- A University degree in Economics or its equivalent from a recognized University
- A masters degree in Economics or its equivalent will be an added advantage
- At least three (3) years relevant work experience in economic analysis.
- Good knowledge of national budget process and fiscal policy analysis
- Team player with good communication skills
- Good performance track record
- Must be Computer literate
Duties and responsibilities
- Collecting and collating budgetary information for analysis
- Maintaining relevant statistics on public revenue and expenditure figures
- Assisting in Preparing budgetary information reports to MPs and relevant House Committees
- Carrying out commissioned Budget research on specific areas of interest
- Carrying out revenue projections based on relevant macroeconomic indicators
- Carrying out assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Government Policy Options relating to Allocation and Utilization of Resources.
- Any other duties as assigned by head of the department
