Assistant Front Desk Manager

Principle Responsibility & Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the holder of this position will assists the Front Desk Manager in administration and management all Front Office Operations to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
- Effectively plan and manage the day to day procedures in the Front Office areas, to ensure high quality standards.
- Supervise the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of the front office team members.
- Ensure that the Hilton Hotel procedures for guest check-in and check-out are maintained.
- Ensure Front Desk Team Members generate additional revenue by up selling and generate reports on a monthly basis for management’s decision making.
- Maintain an efficient system of communication between the Front Office and other departments, with particular regard to guest arrivals and departures.
- Follow-up on all VIP blocks and inspect room prior to arrival.
- Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care and concern.
- Responsible for assisting the Front Office Manager in hiring, and scheduling personnel within the Front Office.
Qualification Standards:
- University degree in Hotel Management.
- Must have worked at the Front desk and with at least 3 years’ managerial experience.
- Must be conversant with Fidelio PMS.
- Knowledge about the facilities of the Hilton Hotels worldwide and Hilton Nairobi in particular will be an added advantage.
