A USAID contractor is recruiting the following Nairobi-based positions for a project focused on youth empowerment in Kenya that supports activities focused on community strengthening; conflict management; and youth engagement, identity and self-confidence in predominantly-Somali communities in the Nairobi area.
1. Project Development Officer: requires at least 5 years relevant experience in Kenya managing donor-funded youth/community development programs in Kenya and/or Somalia.
2. Grants Manager: requires at least 3 years relevant experience managing USAID or other donor-funded grants programs in Kenya and/or Somalia
3. Impact Evaluation Coordinator: requires at least 5 years demonstrated experience in monitoring/evaluating community development projects in East Africa, preferably Kenya and/or Somalia, with a background in anthropology preferred.
All candidates must speak and write fluent Somali, Swahili and English.
Experience working directly with youth at the grassroots level is required.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of Somali culture and customs
