Salary Scale: KSH 19,455 x 501 - 20,457 x 522 - 22,545 x 603 - 24,957 x 696 = KSH 26,349

Reporting to the principal, the Finance Officer will be the institute's financial advisor charged with the responsibility of coordinating staff and activities in the accounts department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collection of the institute's revenue and daily updating of relevant accounting books.
• Overseeing proper management of the institute's financial resources.
• Coordinating timely preparation of budgets, annual reports and returns and ensure budgetary controls are in place and operational.
• Preparation of monthly accounts and handling audit exercises with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with the existing accounting policies and procedures formulated by the management and international accounting standards.
• Administration of the non-teaching staff payroll and submission of relevant statutory payments.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Applicants must be holders of Bachelor of Commerce/Business Administration Degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Holders of CPA II
• Have a thorough knowledge of financial procedures.
• Have served in an educational institution in a similar or equivalent position for not less than 4 years.
• He or she must be a person of integrity, committed, and an excellent communicator.
• Be proficient in modern computerized financial/accounting software application.
