Senior Radio Reporter

Knowledge and Skills
· A University Degree and/ or a Diploma in Mass Communications with a minimum of 2 years experience as a News Reporter, experience as a news presenter will be an added bonus;
· A strong command of English and Kinyarwanda — written and spoken;

Creative Copy Writer

· Working with multi-disciplinary teams to plan, draft and review creative briefs and assignments;

· Liaising and working with sales teams in commercial promotions/campaigns.
Knowledge and Skills
· BA degree in design/advertising or related field;
· A minimum of 3 years working experience with a strong portfolio in the media industry;
· Ability to take a creative direction and work independently and proactively;
· Highly innovative.
Technical Engineer

· Maintenance and support of the multiple technical and studio production environments;
· Keeping abreast of the changing technology and advising on required technological advancements;
· Interpret and diagnose technical problems and advise on solutions;
· Oversee and manage technical projects;
· Ensure compliance to broadcasting communications regulations and standards and managing systems changes and processes;
· Provision of technical advice to technical and non-technical colleagues;
· Maintenance of equipment to the required standards so that the station is continuously on air;
· Ensuring that the help desk is responsive;
· Troubleshooting.
Knowledge and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications engineering or IT;
· At least three (3) years experience in a similar role;
· Knowledgeable in applying best practice for broadcast telecommunications, specifically radio;
· Knowledge of signal workflow and conversion;
· Ability to create and modify processes in an environment where none exists
· Ability to troubleshoot radio systems;
· Excellent people management and interpersonal skills;
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office;
· Must be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can interface with a diverse group of people and situations, while ensuring excellence.
Radio Programmes Controller

· Planning and reviewing of programmes with presenters;
· Reviewing, approving and scheduling of playlists and briefing presenters on any promotions to run on air;
· Liaising with the sales teams on products/brand preposition to clients and sponsors;
· Analysing research data from internal and external sources to improve programming ratings;
· Through innovative programming, ensure station’s relevance and appeal to clients and listeners
· Creating programme clocks and inserting all elements of programming every hour of the day;
· Manages the performance of presenters, creative and technical support.
Knowledge and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism or Diploma in Mass Communication;
· At least 4 years’ working experience in the commercial radio industry with programmes’ making experience and a track record of growing brands;
· Ability to mentor, develop and provide leadership to a dynamic team of creative talent.
News Editor

· Planning and implementing news strategy for radio and print;
· Provide leadership and guidance to the Editorial news teams;
· Building and maintaining close and effective contacts with news sources and the network of contributors/correspondents;
· Vetting editorial integrity of news, stories and related bulletins;
· Liaising with other NMG teams for synergy to ensure a competitive edge;
· Guiding and briefing reporters on story angling and coverage and broadcasting;
· Reviewing stories to ensure they meet broadcasting objectives, journalistic ethics and Group’s policy guidelines ;
· Ensuring timely delivery and execution of stories;
· Managing the duty rosters for reporters and correspondents to ensure adequate staffing.
Knowledge and Skills
· University degree in journalism;
· At least 4 years’ demonstrable experience in news management;
· People management skills;
· Prior radio experience is an added advantage.
Radio Presenters

· A bachelor’s degree in Journalism or mass media related field;
· A rich and appealing voice;
· Knowledgeable, aggressive and outgoing;
· Good understanding of the set target audiences.
