CAFOD,
one of the UK's leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for a Sustainable
Livelihoods Programme Coordinator to be based in our offices in South Sudan
with extensive travel within the region.
Following
the July 2011 secession of South Sudan, the South Sudan programme separated
from the Sudan programme. The programme is livelihoods and humanitarian-focused
based in Central and Western Equatoria and Upper Nile States.
We
are now looking for someone to lead, plan, monitor and manage CAFOD's
sustainable livelihoods programme in South Sudan in line with the agreed
strategy while developing relationships with partners. A large part of the role
consists in carrying out programme appraisal as well as the monitoring and
reviews needed to implement and manage these. You will also represent CAFOD at
programme level externally and act as the strategic relationship holder with
partners and authorities.
The
successful candidate should have a strong understanding of livelihoods
programmes and able to integrate peace-building and HIV & AIDS into
agricultural and income generation programmes. You should be able to deliver
work effectively within the context of agreed programme frameworks and have
extensive experience in programme cycle management. The ideal candidate will
need to demonstrate substantive experience in managing and monitoring budgets,
including complex multi-donor budgets and related reporting requirements. Due
to the close relationship with partners, you should be able to carry out
partner capacity assessments and identify support needs.
Come
and join us and help make a real difference in the lives of the world's poorest
communities.
