PHP Developer Job in Kenya - TraceTracker East Africa

TraceTracker East Africa is looking for an experienced PHP Developer.

The ideal candidate for this position must have worked with PHP web applications previously and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative development environment tasked with engineering improvements and performance enhancements to existing products
• Implement new features and user interfaces using PHP
• Write unit tests
• Write documentation
• Interact with clients at various levels (participate in demos, gather requirements, etc)
• Prototype and implement optimization techniques and participate in design and code reviews

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience with software development
• Strong skills in PHP or Java
• Experience with at least one PHP framework, such as CakePHP or Zend
• Experience with XML
• Experience with use of REST APIs
• Experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript/jQuery
• Experience with full lifecycle of web development projects
• Experience with Linux is a plus
• Leader and independent worker
• Technical innovator and thought leader
• A proactive approach and an ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
