Assistant Country Director – Tanzania

CARE in Tanzania is seeking an Assistant Country Director who is an experienced and passionate professional dedicated to ensuring that CARE’s programs/projects make a significant contribution to reducing poverty and social injustice.

CARE Tanzania has a growing and diverse program built around governance, policy and advocacy and active citizenry.

In working with individual’s and community’s livelihoods and means of production, we seek to promote high quality and equitable service delivery through fostering partnerships between local government, civil society and the private sector with a focus on education, reproductive and sexual health, water, security, and shared sustainable access to natural resources.

Country Directors: Sudan, Ethiopia and Tanzania

CARE is seeking experienced and talented individuals to be CARE’s senior representative in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Sudan.

The position of Country Director is responsible for ensuring that CARE’s work in that country contributes to CARE’s vision of “a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been eliminated and people live with dignity and security.”

The director is expected to provide strategic leadership and guidance to the country office team and develop strategic alliances with partners of choice.
